CAMH in Toronto, Ontario

CAMH is conducting a CIHR funded brain imaging study investigating brain inflammation in those experiencing depression after contracting Covid-19

  • Past Covid-19 infection
  • Have symptoms of depression

  • Ages 18-80
  • Do not smoke marijuana or cigarettes
  • Not currently pregnant or breastfeeding

Covid 19 is thought to lead to depression by causing inflammation, the body’s natural response to injury and infection in the brain. We have developed a brain scan to detect inflammation and we have used it to study many different illnesses. We hope that results from this study will lead to new treatments specifically for depression caused by inflammation
